I made it through the days nd did very well. My first talk was the one that kept me up till 1 this morning throwing something together. It actually turned out nicely and was well relieved.
The second. Talk was to the optimist club. They have a really great list of mottos. I told them I was unwaveringly optimistic even though I have no reason to be. Then I thought IThat attitude is so last year!
Te last talk was rough, even for me. It was in a skilled nursing unit with critical care patients. It was very sad. There were couples there, one fine and the other lost to dementia. Half the room was convulsing. Machines going off. It was difficult and heart wrenching. But I think they enjoyed it. I got there early and talked with them for a while. They realy liked my turquoise shoes.
Oh, and I sold 44 books today for my fundraiser. I sold them for five dollars a piece. I could probably have gotten 10, I don't know. I was just glad to sell some.
