Everything I have ever been involved with through auburn is a class act, just really top of the line with all the trimmings. It's little things like coffee spoons and butter knives that make a difference for me. When we visited the special collections, we were given one o f these books the second one aut the science and art in letters from Alabama. It's such a beautiful book. Then long leaf, has given me a great idea. Something to focus some errant energy on. Well, I feel like a better landowner having attend this conference. I have such a sense of place in this world. If I have nothing else I have that. It's such a part of me I could live anywhere and take it with me, like that WWI poem where the soldier dies on foreign soil but where he dies is English. I love Alabama and its environment so much where I died or resided would be southern.
One of the things I enjoyed was the lecture on the long lief pine. It's always so tall and scraggly. It use to cover the whole southeast. Imagine that. Off the top of my head I believe he said 99 million acres but I could have made that up.
The last two photos are for B who wanted to see pic of my Jessica Simpson shoes. They are actually pretty comfortable as platform heels go. It was fun being so tall I must say. Think that with the heels I was 6 feet tall.
